LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (20 hrs/wk)

 The Salvation Army, a Christian charitable organization, requires a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its operations at the Centre of Hope in Abbotsford.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

The LPN assesses and provides direct care and treatment for clients in accordance with the standards, scope and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC (CLPNBC) and vision and values of The Salvation Army. The LPN will be also responsible for running a Senior’s Day Program.

 The LPN will assess client needs, will perform standard nursing functions and make referrals to other agencies as required.(delete)

 The successful applicant will hold/have:

  • Certificate of competence with the licensing body of the Province of British Columbia
  • Current Certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Medication Certificate
  • Certified to provide basic and advanced foot care for adults

He/she must have related exp. in carrying out senior day program activities and complete a Criminal Record Check.

He/she should have good computer skills, excellent verbal and written skills, able to work cooperatively in a team setting with minimal supervision, and willing to work in accordance with The Salvation Army missions, ethics and values.
